Burgon & Ball come from a world where television isn’t our main form of entertainment, where our lives revolve around the seasons and their harvests, and those born with green thumbs are truly blessed.
This is because, since 1730, Burgon & Ball have had a love affair with gardening and agriculture – and back in the 1700s, there wasn’t much else to do but garden. So they spent their time perfecting their products, until they became the perfect gardening tools you see before you.
The stainless steel round tined hand fork is endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society, the world’s leading gardening charity.
This hand fork is ideal for working in heavy or clay soils. The pointed tines (prongs) are specially hardened & tempered to withstand tough cultivating, while their round shape offers less resistance to the soil than flat tines, allowing them to slide more easily through challenging soils.
The tang (or neck) is precision forged to the perfect angle for ergonomic working, and uses a different composition of steel for optimal strength in this important area of the tool.
The stainless steel of the fork is highly resistant to rust and will stay looking good for years to come, while a strong leather cord allows the fork to be hung up tidily when not in use.
